Feel Better – It’s Cake!
Today’s cake will make you feel better. Cake always make things better, but this one especially so, because it was made to feature some of Johnson & Johnson’s most popular personal care products. Every part of this cake is entirely edible. The Band-Aids, Tylenol, Motrin and Johnson’s Baby Lotion are made from solid modelling chocolate, and covered… Read More
Super Awesome Unicorn Cake!
Meet Fido. Fido is a unicorn. Fido is a cake. Fido is a super awesome unicorn cake! He’s very happy to be an edible unicorn. You can tell by his toothy grin. Like all unicorns, he is made of sunshine and magic (and cake – lots of cake). And, also like all unicorns, he poops… Read More
Go Habs Cake!
Go Habs go! As a proud Toronto resident and a long-suffering Leafs fan, I’m just happy to see Canadian teams in the playoffs. At the moment, I’m glad to see the Canadiens! As I write this post, I’ve got the Montreal-Tampa Bay Game 1 on in the background, and they just tied it up. Woot!… Read More
A “Royal” Assortment of Cupcakes
No princes or princesses here; these cupcakes were for a different sort of Royal birthday! Yep, that’s right – you probably recognized Arbie, the mascot of Royal Bank! I think he’s the tallest single cupcake topper I’ve ever made, but he was just too fine a fellow to fit into a smaller size. The other cupcake… Read More
“Udderly” Adorable Farm Cake
I just loved this cute little farm cake! The party was held at Toronto’s Riverdale Farm, so the cake was a perfect fit. The 2D scene around the lower tier featured Mr. Horse in his barn… …along with Sheep, Piggy, and a bright red bow! Miss Cow (since clearly she’s a lady cow…) topped it off… Read More
Braaaaaaain Cake.
As the snow starts to fly and holiday lights start to twinkle, I thought I would share a special cake with all of you. It’s a braaaaaaaain! Um…what? Wrong holiday, you say? Don’t worry, I know Halloween is over. But this wasn’t a Halloween cake, this was for an eight-year-old girl’s birthday party. Every little girl dreams… Read More
Canadiana Moose Cake
I make a lot of mousse cakes, but today we have something a bit different – an actual MOOSE cake! As a proud Canadian, I loved making this birthday cake. The request was for a Canada-themed cake to match the plaid-and-moose adorned invitations, so this was what I came up with! What could be more classically… Read More
Argyle, Bow Tie & Moustache Cake
As a counterpoint to last week’s girly cake, I now present a very manly little cake for a manly little boy! This was actually for a baptism, but could easily serve for a baby shower or birthday too (even for grown up, not so little boys with moustaches and bow ties of their own!). Here’s… Read More
Bunting, Bows & Polka Dots
Today’s pretty cake was designed for a little girl whose favourite colour is yellow – I think it fit the bill! I balanced the delicate lace-y borders with fun, multi-coloured bunting and a big, polka dot bow.
